Dr Ochuwa Babah

Dr Ochuwa A. Babah is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and an Honorary Consultant in the Ultrasound and Foetal Medicine unit of the affiliated teaching hospital, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, Nigeria. She had her basic medical education at University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health Epidemiology from University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria, and a doctoral degree in Global Public Health from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. She is a fellow of West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN). She has a keen interest in teaching and research. Clinically, she has a passion for obstetrics especially management of high-risk pregnancies. She has published original research works on anaemia, including sickle cell anaemia, in pregnancy. Recently, she has been involved in preparing management guidelines on sickle cell pregnancies.
