Professor David Rees

David Rees is a paediatric haematologist at King’s College London and King’s College Hospital, with an interest in sickle cell disease, thalassaemia and other inherited red cell disorders. His research interests include understanding more about the causes of variation in inherited anaemia, including both genetic and environmental factors. He is involved in the care of about 1000 children with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia in South London, and a medical adviser to the Sickle Cell Society.
