My laboratory at the Johns Hopkins Department of Genetic Medicine is focused on adapting genome editing technology to address genetic disease. I received my B.S. in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University and my Ph.D. in Biology from MIT studying under Susan Lindquist. I joined the lab of David Liu at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard for my postdoctoral research which introduced me to base editing and prime editing technology, which continues to be the focus of my therapeutic development.
