Ms Christelle Salomon

Christelle Salomon is a sickle cell warrior and health equity advocate whose unique perspective is shaped by her lived experience as both a patient and former medical trainee. After living with sickle cell disease for 28 years, she received a life-changing stem cell transplant that sharpened her vision for a medical system rooted in humanity and dignity. Christelle now serves as a Health Policy and Education Analyst at the UCSF Sickle Cell Center of Excellence, where she leads initiatives to bridge gaps between patients, providers, and scientists. Through digital platforms, she educates, empowers, and builds trust within the sickle cell community—sharing health information, supporting warriors, and confronting stigma. Her mission is to transform healthcare from the inside out. Through public speaking, research, and storytelling, Christelle reimagines a system that honors every individual with compassion, dignity, and equitable care.
