Dr Andrew Louden

Dr, Louden is a program director in the Blood Epidemiology and Clinical Therapeutics Branch (BECTB) of the Division of Blood Diseases and Resources at NHLBI, where he manages a diverse portfolio of grants in blood science including blood diseases and cell therapies such as hematopoietic stem cell transplants, transfusion products, and novel cell therapies. He is an experienced program official at NIH, having worked at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), where he managed a portfolio of institutional training grants and specialized center cooperative agreements; and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), where he managed a diverse portfolio of grants in health services research and health disparities, and served as project scientist on NIMHD-funded cooperative agreements.
